The list our destinations include the foaming and roaring Murchison Falls on the mighty River Nile whose water gives life to a variety of wildlife in the park of the same name. From the tree- climbing lions of Ishasha and the misty mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south west, home to the famous Mountain Gorillas, you will snap your way up northeast to the plains of Kidepo teeming with herds of buffalo under the secret watch of the king of jungle atop rocks.

OUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARIS STANDARD PROCEDURES:
Training: You don’t need to be a professional photographer to capture great images. We take you through basic photography training throughout the trip to make sure that you get presentable images to share with your loved ones.
Transport: We use 4 Wheel Drive vehicles (Toyota Land Cruiser) with a pop-up roof or Safari Vans with popup roofs and non-tinted side windows that open nicely. All vehicles have enough space for your equipment. Since it’s your Photographic Safari experience, it is just you and whoever is with you. No fighting for space.
Privacy and Time: If you there is anything of interest that you would like to photograph whether insect, scenery or a lion stalking a Uganda kob you need to sit or wait. No problem. Anticipation and patience result in great images. This is the difference between our Photographic Safaris and other normal safaris. It is not about how many different animals you have seen but how many great natural moments you have captured.
Private Boat Rides: We arrange private motorized boats, or canoes depending on the need so that you get the same privacy and time needed to get your shots.
Private Nature Walks: Nature walks are private and lead by local guides who know the area except in cases like Chimp and Gorilla tracking that is done in small groups. The guide who knows the area, the wildlife is helpful as he can point out things you might otherwise miss

PHOTOGRAPHY

Our main photographer is Mathias Mugisha, Author and founder of Snap Uganda Tours. Mugisha is an award winning Ugandan Photojournalist specialising in News, Features, Development work, Nature and Travel Photography. He was voted the best Tourism Photographer 2019 in the Ekkula Tourism awards and has held several Photographic Exhibitions.
Over the years Mugisha, has won many accolades in the Uganda Press Photo Awards. He was the first local journalist to scale Margherita peak (5091m) in the Rwenzori Mountains in 2002 and later became a member of an international scientific expedition in the same mountain range the following year. In 2006 he led the first ever 12-day expedition covering 314 sq km through Mabira forest. Matthias was the Uganda coordinator for the UK TV Channel 4 and TV Discovery Channel for the “Walking the Nile Documentary” Series by British adventurer Levison Wood who embarked on a yearlong 2500 + mile trek along the River Nile from Rwanda to the Mediterranean Sea.
Mugisha was the main photographer for the Uganda Wild Life Authority (UWA) website and funded by USAID and the sole photographer for the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) online and print catalogue.. View Here
Mugisha has published numerous stories and photo documentaries for both international and national institutions that include the New Vision, Africa Geographic and many UN Agencies. He is the Author of “ Uganda the Birder Coffee Table book about birds.
